Hot Property: Baseball’s Logan Morrison spills a house in Florida

Logan Morrison, the first MLB baseman to spend a lot of time in Florida between assignments with the Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays, recently sold his home in Sunshine State for $ 745,000.

That’s around $ 120,000 more than he paid for property in 2014, records show.

The waterfront home is located on a dead end on Jupiter, where several MLB teams including the Marlins and Cardinals hold their spring training. Slugger Matt Holliday sold his impressive home there earlier this year for $ 8.5 million, and golfers Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson also own homes in the coastal city.

Stacked stone pillars frame the entrance before the first floor plan opens to 2,854 square feet of interior with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, neutral tones and hardwood and tile floors. Chandeliers hang above the living room and dining room, and the open concept kitchen adds granite counters.

Sliding glass doors access a covered patio in the back, which has connections for three TVs and a mosquito-proof system. A resort-style saltwater swimming pool with sun shelves and a spa complete the backyard, overlooking a canal that runs through a gated community.

Morrison, 32, has played with Marlins, Mariners, Rays, Twins and Phillies during his career, hitting 139 home runs and 424 RBI. Earlier this year, he signed a minor league contract with Brewers.
