Barry Sonnenfeld shoots for eight points in the Rocky Mountains. The filmmaker, who directed “The Addams Family” and the “Men in Black” trilogy, recently registered his farm in Telluride, Colorado, for $ 13.25 million.

Telluride, a charming ski town with a population of around 2,500, has long been a celebrity resting place. Famous owners for years included Tom Cruise and Oprah Winfrey, who five years ago dropped $ 14 million in a high-tech home with a wine cellar made to resemble a mining tunnel.

Covering more than 62 hectares on a hilltop, the Sonnenfeld mountains offer their own world. There are more than 10,000 square feet of wooden and stone houses, as well as a two-bedroom guesthouse, a greenhouse and a private luge field.

Dramatic wooden beams line the towering ceilings on an open floor plan, which combines two island kitchens, a dining room and a spacious living room with glass walls. Elsewhere there are seven bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, game room, wet bar and cinema.

Terrace and balcony hang home, enjoying views of the surrounding mountains. At the edge of the property which is filled with trees, there is a grassy yard with a fire pit surrounded by tiered seating.

Sonnenfeld, 67, made his directorial debut with “The Addams Family” in 1991 and directed his sequel, “Addams Family Values,” before collaborating with Will Smith for the “Men in Black” and “Wild Wild West” trilogy. Recently, he directed and developed “A Series of Unpleasant Events” for Netflix.

Patrick Pelisson from Telluride Properties holds the listing.
