There is a new case that reopens the debate about police violence and neglect in the United States. The man was detained by the police, he has a fracture of the spine at several points. He is now hospitalized and is in danger of never walking again.

On suspicion of illegal possession of weapons, Randy Cox was arrested by the Connecticut State Police and placed in a camper van.

Alone, handcuffed and without a seatbelt and therefore nowhere to lean. A 36-year-old man, sitting in one of the corners of the bench, was thrown hard onto the van during heavy braking three minutes after the start of the movement.

Unable to move asked the agent who transported him to helpwho was suspicious. They resumed their journey with Randy Cox, always in the same position, and already at the station, several police officers asked Randy to get out of the van.

Agents dragged the man away and put him in a wheelchair. saying that Randy is fine and that he just had too much to drink.

Later, the hospital confirmed the severity of the injuries. Randy Cox has broken his spine in several places, is paraplegic and needs a ventilator.

The sergeant and the four agents involved have already been eliminated, and the investigation into the case, which is not unprecedented, continues. In 2015, 25-year-old Freddie Gray died after a similar trip.
