Senator Jacques Wagner (PT) said he sees former President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) as the central politician. Wagner responded to journalist Fabiola Sidral’s question about Lula’s political orientation during an interview with Wal on Thursday morning, 12.
“I think Lula is a centrist, center-left or progressive center. Lula was never formed among the left. Lula is a humanist seeking social justice. He never set up a government against companies. I believe that in a sense, Lula is a man of the center, ”the senator explained.
On the occasion, PT, who is to run for Bahia’s government in the 2022 elections, also said that he believes in an alliance between his party and PSDB in a possible second round against President Jair Bolsonaro (no party).
“I usually say that after the military governments two new institutions arose – PT and PSDB, but eventually they became poles of agglutination and oppose each other in their behavior. PT and PSDB had similar ideas from the beginning. Social Democracy was also the PSDB’s ideal. At this crossroads, I see no difficulties, ”Wagner said.
