Hacker attack? iFood Changes Restaurant Names Due to Political and Vaccine Opponents
Anyone who uses iFood or knows about social media this Tuesday night (2) must have noticed that there have been restaurant naming changes in several cities in Brazil. Users report that the sites are now headlined with political speeches or anti-vaccination.
Among the main political phrases found were “Lula Ladrao” and “Bolsonaro 2022”. In addition, the words “Murder of Vacinas”, a statement that is unsubstantiated from a scientific point of view, or disrespect for Mariel Franco, the Rio councilor killed in 2018, were found in some establishments. While there is no confirmation of the cause of the problem yet, all indications are that there was cyberattack internal so that these changes are inside the platform.

Hence, there is no need to remove them from the application, as many have requested on social networks, as well as application passwords.
If there really was a leak of customer payment data, the appropriate solution would not be to exclude from the service, since the collection would have already taken place before the changes, but rather to delete or change the card itself.
