Greenvolt will move to PSI-20 on September 20, two months after it goes public, as Euronext announced Wednesday. The announcement is in line with the expectations of the energy company, which has already identified this intent.

“Euronext announces today [quarta-feira, 8 de setembro] the results of the PSI-20 quarterly review, which will take place after the market close on Friday 17 September and will take effect from 20 September 2021, ”the company that operates the Lisbon Stock Exchange said in a statement.

The only change is the growth of the company – from the Altri biomass group led by João Manso Neto – to the main stock index of the Lisbon Stock Exchange. This was the goal set by the management from the very beginning. Greenvolt debuted on the stock exchange on July 15 and has since been worth over 21%. has entered traded at € 4.65 after each share was sold in the initial public offering for € 4.25. Every title counts 5.65 euros at the close of trading on Wednesday, its market capitalization was 685.8 million euros.

Part of the reason for this incident was the attention of financial analysts, which drew attention to the company. Three investment banks have recently begun hedging Greenvolt shares, welcoming the business model and seeing the potential for price increases.

For this share, PSI-20 will (temporarily) have 19 listings. The quarterly review precedes the moment of important changes in the index.

Late last month, Euronext announced a change to the rules for the index, which will be referred to as PSI in its regular annual survey next March. It also loses the obligation to have a minimum number of listed companies and they will have to meet two aggregate criteria: market capitalization and trading speed, so companies are expected to be included in the national benchmark index.
