The amount of the deal, which was carried out through V-Ridium Power Group, the Polish subsidiary of Greenvolt, has not been disclosed. In a note sent, Greenvolt notes that “the acquisition will materialize with the creation of the V-Ridium Oak Creek Renewables (VOCR), which will be led by the OCES management team, and will also take over the remaining team.”

The operation will enable the Portuguese company, which entered PSI-20 last September, “to enter the market to promote and develop renewable energy projects in the United States with a very experienced team and extensive development experience.” energy projects in these markets ”.

Greenvolt’s goal in this acquisition is “to develop, build and operate renewable energy projects in the United States alone or in partnership with other operators,” the same note points out.

For the CEO of Greenvolt, “Entering the North American market is a tremendous opportunity, especially as this entry, in addition to creating new growth opportunities for the company, is through a team with extensive experience in developing successful projects. renewable energy sources “.

In Portugal, Greenvolt operates five residual forest biomass cogeneration plants with an installed capacity of about 98 MW. It also has a power generation plant using residual urban biomass in the United Kingdom, with a capacity of about 42 MW.

In recent months, the company has consolidated its growth strategy in Europe through acquisitions of companies developing solar and photovoltaic projects. Through its Polish subsidiary V-Ridum, GreenVolt has a pipeline with a capacity of about 3.6 GW, of which about 1.5 GW are at an advanced stage or in preparation for construction in Poland, Greece, Italy, France, Romania and Bulgaria.
