ABOUT Google will add another valuable resource to Gmail, which will save images to Google photos straight from your Gmail messages. Many users have been craving this type of resource for a while and it seems like prayers have been answered, now they will be able to save your photos in an instant.
While it is limited at the moment, we can expect it to arrive on our devices soon. It is currently exclusive to the JPEG format and does not support PNG, GIF, WEB or any other formats.
The procedure is pretty simple and the same as in Google Drive.
Google already offers users the ability to upload images and save them directly to Google Drive. But now we can also save them directly to Google Photos if they are in JPEG format.
After receiving the image in Gmail, below in the attachments section, we will have three icons, where we will have a “save to Google Photos” icon. Click to save the image.
Availability:
According to the announcement made by Google, they are rolling out this update gradually and it may take up to 15 days for it to be available on all devices. It will not be exclusive in terms of availability. The company guarantees that it will be available to everyone, including personal Google accounts, Google Workspace customers, G Suite Basic, and business customers.
