In motion, a somewhat “strange” application Google Mapsso much for Android how iOS, now shows a message requesting the user’s personal information. The ‘justification’ for the need for such access is that some navigation functions combine different navigation options in real time.

However, at the moment, this request is directed only to a very limited number of users in the United States, and after its refusal, the application simply cannot perform one of its main functions – driving a car by GPS users, with various instructions in real time.

A Google ensures that the data you have access to is in no way personal or associated with your Google account. In addition, there are no other changes to be reported other than this explicit authorization, which must be authorized for Google Maps.

Don’t be surprised if Google Maps asks for permission to access your personal data.

It should be noted that the application often collects some data already to determine traffic conditions and display them in real time. This data includes GPS readings, and the app also uses this data to predict traffic conditions through statistical analysis.
