Gasoline and diesel prices will decline from December 6 (Monday). So if you are thinking of a top-up this weekend, you better wait.

This scenario occurs after a week marked by a decline in the price of a barrel of oil. Know how much fuel will go away.

Low diesel 5 cents and 8 cents gasoline

According to the calculations of the newspaper Negócios, the price of ordinary diesel fuel should fall by about 5 cents per liter, to 1.47 euros per liter. As for plain 95 gasoline, it should fall more, by about 8 cents per liter, to 1,636 euros per liter.

The calculations are based on the evolution of these two derivatives of oil (diesel and gasoline) and the euro. But the cost of fuel at a gas station will always depend on each gas station, brand and area where it is located, the newspaper notes.

The new gasoline and diesel prices are based on prices announced by the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG).

It should be noted that this Friday the Brent barrel experienced the sharpest drop in recent years and has continued to fall since then, bringing the price of a barrel closer to $ 70. On October 26, the price was above $ 86 per barrel.

Compared to the beginning of this year, the Portuguese are now paying 30 percent more for every liter of diesel or gasoline.

Let us remind you that in October the government approved a discount on fuel in the amount of 10 cents per liter, maximum 50 liters, that is, five euros per month. Program AUTOVOUCHER it works similarly to IVAucher, the amount is transferred directly to the taxpayer's account, which must be paid by credit card.

Taxpayers must adhere to a system similar to IVAucher, and those who have already joined will not need to register again and will receive a discount two business days after purchasing fuel.
