Fox News said it was “wrong” to cut Trump from a photo that featured Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell

“On Sunday, July 5, a report about Ghislaine Maxwell during Fox News Channel’s ‘United States News HQ’ mistakenly removed President Donald Trump from a group photo then Melania Knauss, Jeffrey Epstein and Maxwell,” a network spokesman said.

A Fox News spokesman added, “We regret the mistake.”

Maxwell was indicted by federal prosecutors in New York on Thursday for his role in recruiting and harassing underage girls as part of years of criminal activity.
Trump’s allies have strengthened relations between former Democratic Presidents Bill Clinton and Epstein sometimes by sharing old photos in which both appeared, while downplaying the photos that showed Trump and Epstein together. A Clinton spokesman said that in 2019, the former president did not know anything about the terrible crimes committed by the convicted pedophile.
Trump News’s grisly cut from the photo has drawn criticism and prompted unattractive media coverage for conservative cable networks. The photo was broadcast when a segment about Maxwell was indicted by federal prosecutors.
This is not the first time in recent weeks that Fox News has admitted significant errors related to photos accompanying the news. In mid-June, Fox News expressed regret after publishing digitally altered and misleading images from a “CHOP” demonstration in Seattle.
