Former Braves star Jason Heyward sells a home in Atlanta

Jason Heyward hasn’t played for Braves since 2014, but he still completes several businesses in Atlanta. Outsider All-Star only put his house on the north side of the city for sale for $ 2.8 million, records show.

He bought property in 2014 after signing a two-year contract with Braves but was traded to the Cardinals as soon as one year left on his contract. This was not the first time he had tried to sell the place; he floats for sale at $ 3.25 million in 2016 and cuts the price to $ 3 million a few months later, but eventually takes it out of the market.

Wood, stone and brick adorn the enticing exterior, which has three separate garage doors and closed entrances. Inside, a foyer with flanking walls begins a floor plan of 7,777 square feet with wide planks of wood, tongue-and-groove ceilings, accompanying ceilings, factory work and high-tech finishes.

On three floors, there are seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, seven fireplaces, formal and informal dining rooms, large marble kitchens and offices under domed ceilings.

Upstairs, the main room is extended to the media room. Downstairs, there is a work space with billiard room and wet bar. An elevator navigates the floor plan.

The indoor-outdoor lounge is open to two levels of an outside deck, overlooking a landscaped land that covers only about three-quarters of an acre. Exterior highlights include slate tile terraces, grassy lawns, and river-rock pools with waterfalls.

A 10-year veteran, Heyward entered the league as one of the most praised prospects in baseball and became an All-Star with Braves during his first year in the league. In 2015, he signed an eight-year contract worth $ 184 million with the Cubs, with whom he won the World Series title in 2016.

Jared Sapp and Jen Metzger of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby International Realty hold the listing.
