On Monday, FC Porto’s SAD informed the CMVM (Securities Market Commission) that it has increased the value of the bond issue to € 70 million and will expire on 21 May.

“By the end of today, May 17, 2021, subscription intentions have been collected, consisting of 2,362 orders, which corresponds to a total of 48,282,070 euros (69% of the total value of the Offer), with an increase to 14,000,000 (fourteen million) on the number of bonds to be issued and the corresponding global par value of the Proposal up to € 70,000,000 (seventy million euros) ”can be read in the note sent by the dragons.

Now, to confirm that this € 70 million will be fully signed by May 21, it will be the largest bond loan in Portuguese football history, surpassing Benfica’s € 60 million bond loan launched in 2017.

For FC Porto SAD, it would essentially be gold on blue, as it would allow two bond issues to be paid off this 2021, after one was delayed last year, postponing the problem by this moment . Actually, it is for this reason that Porto announced the launch of not one, but two loans. However, if a full € 70 million subscription is confirmed, the second may no longer be needed.

“Subscription orders collected today correspond to 10 percent of the total collected orders and 7 percent of the total,” it said.

SAD portista also reminds that “applications for subscriptions for FC Porto SAD 2021-23 bonds can be sent until 15:00 on May 21st”.
