Rui Silva is extending his relationship with dragons until 2025.

Porto on Tuesday officially renewed their contract with Rui Silva, a 28-year-old Portuguese center-back who is one of the main players in the white and blue handball teams.

Rui Silva’s new bail is valid until 2025 and arrived in Dragau in 2015 from Sporting.

“I understand [a renovaçao] as a vote of confidence, and I believe that this is a sign that I have done a good job and that we have made great strides in recent years. I am very happy, I feel at home, like a family, people treat me very well, and combining this with success was something very useful for me, ”Rui Silva said in an interview with FC Porto TV.

Central spent the 2020/21 season in review, defending that “the game at home with Sporting is the most important moment as it was a very difficult game.” “We always lagged behind as a result, and in the end we managed to win and bring the title closer,” he recalled.

For the future, “the goal is to win more and more”, meaning the national title and the Portuguese Cup, but also “to dream of higher levels in the Champions League.”

Silva also faced the roster changes with ease – “those who leave have many qualities, but those who come come to add” – eagerly awaiting the fans’ return to the Dragão Arena.

In addition to Rui Silva, Porto have already extended it with the help of Tito, Leonel Fernandez (both until 2024) and Antonio Areya (until 2023), signing guardian Sebastian Frandsen, who signed a two-season contract.
