Energy and BCP lift the national stock market to a monthly high – Bolsa

The national stock market closed higher, following other European markets, mainly due to the banking sector and energy.

Elsewhere in Europe, the trend was also up as investors took advantage of lower quoted pesos and put aside fears of monetary tightening and slower economic growth today.

Here PSI added 2.67% to 6079.51 points, with 15 titles in the green zone.

The National Benchmark Index was the highest in Europe and hit a monthly high.

Among the listed companies that sustained this positive performance the most was BCP, whose shares rose 4.72% to 17.96 cents.

Energy also gave a strong boost to the Lisbon market, with a 4.93% gain from Greenvolt set at 7.23 euros. This is the day he announced that enters the Icelandic market with a 90 MW wind farm.

For its part, Galp climbed 4.10% to 11.31 euros in the session, with oil prices trading in positive territory.

EDP, on the other hand, rose 0.64% to 4.694 euros, being the only listed company valuing less than 1%, while its renewable energy subsidiary jumped 2.34% to 22.31 euros.

Still in the energy sector, REN added 2.60% to 2.96 euros.

At retail, Jerónimo Martins rose 2.35% to €18.73 and Sonae rose 3.07% to €1,041.
