EnduroGP – Portugal

It was in Portugal that the jockeys were selected to compete in the first stage of the World Enduro Championship. A must-see four-step itinerary to tackle in the beautiful and now well-known area of Marco de Canavez.

At E1, Antoine Majen had a tough weekend. Starting off at a brisk pace, leading the category after four special matches, Xtreme is going through a difficult special program in which it loses two minutes. In the next special, Antoine fell hard. In this case, the goal is to earn points: he will be in eighth place. On Sunday, Antoine will be more consistent and will fight for fourth place. In the championship, after the first test, he finished sixth.

At E2, Hamish MacDonald and Jack Edmondson had their first senior race. Hamish, junior world champion, had a great weekend. Later in the cross-test, he corrects the situation to the extreme. Twice 4th place, on the timer he also takes 4th place. Less fortunate for Jack, who is due to surrender on Saturday. On Sunday at special events, he knew he would fight for sixth place.

Finally, in the E3 class Danny McNee finished third on both days on the podium. Some mistakes prevent him from performing better, but this is a good start, and he is ranked third in the preliminary rankings for this first year. Enrique Francisco finished sixth on Saturday. In particular difficulty, he will find solutions for Sunday and finish fourth. After this inaugural tournament, he takes fifth place in the standings.
