Eminem buys NFT from Bored Ape for 2.5 million reais

Legendary Detroit rapper Eminem bought the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).

Rapper Eminem jumped on the NFTS bandwagon and bought one of the Bored Ape on Ethereum for 123.45 ETH (roughly R $ 2.5 million) on Thursday night and has since made the monkey his Twitter avatar. Meanwhile, he seems to have collected at least 15 NFTs on OpenSea so far under the name Shady_Holdings.

BAYC is a collection of 10,000 NFTs from Bored Ape – exclusive digital elements that live on the Ethereum blockchain. Your Bored Ape also serves as your Yacht Club membership card and gives you access to member-only privileges, the first being access to THE BATHROOM, a collaborative graffiti board. The community can unlock future areas and benefits by activating a roadmap.

Eminem is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 220 million records sold worldwide. He is also the only rapper to receive an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song, which he received for the song “Lose Yourself” in 8 Mile. He has also received several American Music Awards and 15 Grammy Awards.

GeeGazza, also a member of BAYC, sold the albino monkey to Eminem, announcing today that the sale, now a reality, is “insane” and comments, “I live in a simulation.” Eminem has yet to publicly comment on the sale.

Another person who recently bought Bored Ape was rapper Gunna. He shared the news on his Instagram and named his monkey Butta. He he even celebrated his latest purchase by getting the same monkey tattooed on his leg.
