Economic Recovery Faces Turbulent Political Scenario | Brazil and politics

The pandemic has wreaked havoc on the whole of society. And the leaders of the manufacturing sector had to demonstrate, more than ever, the ability to overcome challenges unparalleled in recent history. As the development of vaccinations seemed to bring a sigh of relief with it, other scourges, such as inflationary pressures and high interest rates, joined the turmoil that plagued businessmen long before the health crisis.

For executives who attended the Valor 1000 awards ceremony last night, pressing issues such as structural reforms and the balance of government accounts are dwindling as the political scenario is marked by disappointment. For most winners, there will be no peace in the country until the three powers settle down.

Since the foundation of the newspaper “Valor 1000” has not only singled out the 1000 largest companies in the country, but also awarded those that showed the best results in their sectors last year. After such a tough year, yesterday’s tribute in its 21st edition seemed to be of great value, and the executives far more than it was expected.

According to their reports, in 2020, business management showed a lot of creativity and cold-bloodedly interrupted production, closed stores, made decisions to delay or await investments, make corporate changes, or raise capital.

At the same time, the social disaster united companies, employees and society and turned factories producing various products into production lines for masks, alcohol gel and ventilators.
