Responsible for the film soundtrack Dying Light 2 Stay Human, composer Olivier Deriviere (Streets of Rage 4, Vampyr, A Plague Tale: Innocence) describes in detail the construction of a special tool for the game, built from scrap metal – quite suitable for post-apocalyptic play. Techland

Watch the video to find out what inspired the theme song for Run, Jump, Fight:

Created from an old bicycle wheel, steel cable, various metal wires and other objects thrown out of the city, the Electric Psalter awakens the ingenuity of Villedore’s survivors, as if it were taken directly from the game world. Created by musician and instrumentalist Nicholas Bras, who specializes in DIY hardware, Electric Psalter strings, which can be plucked or bent, are tailored to the specific characters in the game. The top of the psalter emits a soft rattling sound when turned and can be heard in-game when the player is making decisions that will affect the story, characters, or the world as a whole.

To bring the ambitious Dying Light 2 Stay Human soundtrack to life, Olivier Derivier and Techland partnered with one of the world’s finest orchestras, the London Contemporary Orchestra. Together with Abbey Road Studios, Olivier and the orchestra recorded the entire score, creating an experience that players will never forget.

It was a really ambitious project, but we had a lot of fun and it was definitely worth the effort to see the end result.… “

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is slated for February 4, 2022 with versions for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
