A woman shot and killed a man who shot 40 people at a birthday party in Charleston, USA, after he was told to drive slowly in his car because several children were playing in the area. The suspect, 37-year-old Dennis Butler, returned armed with an AR-15 (shotgun) and opened fire from his vehicle. The woman took a gun with her and shot the shooter. Dennis Butler died at the scene.

Dennis’ life has been marked by successive arrests and various criminal charges, according to US police. The 37-year-old’s track record was quite extensive in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia, officials said.

Dennis was arrested several times for petty crimes, but more serious charges were always dropped because the witnesses never showed up in court.

The weapon he used during the assassination attempt was illegal. Police are still investigating the history of the AR-15 shotgun.

The American has been wanted since the beginning of the year for receiving money. Kanawha Court in West Virginia has a history of more than 20 arrests of Dennis Butler, FOX 11 reports.

In 2016, he was charged with bodily harm after he shot and killed a woman, also in Charleston. From this case, only a bullet hole in the wall of the house remained, since it was not possible to listen to the witnesses. This crime was added to two other counts of domestic violence and child neglect that took place in Pennsylvania.

Witnesses have proven to be a problem in all of the lawsuits involving Dennis Butler. The only cases that ever made it to court were two escape attempts from Pennsylvania authorities in 2005 and 2006.

Dennis was shot dead by a woman who, according to the police, is simply “a member of the public who legally carried his gun.” After the incident, he remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
