Diesel will drop 2 cents next week of the sixth autumn of the year – Energy

Fuel prices are set to decline next Monday, August 9, a year marked by historic increases in both diesel and gasoline, according to reports from Negócios.

Plain diesel has a margin to drop by 1.6 cents per liter to € 1.435, while regular 95 gasoline can drop 0.5 cents per liter to € 1.671 per liter.

The predicted fall occurs when the price Oil is on track for its biggest weekly decline since March, with the delta option throwing clouds on economic recovery and demand. With the rise in COVID-19 cases in China, the largest oil importer, investors are watching the pandemic develop in the region.

This year was marked by strong growth in both cases. Diesel is experiencing its sixth drop in a possible 33 weeks this year, with prices up 17 cents per liter over that period. Only the fourth drop falls on gasoline, two of which are less than 1 cent per liter.

The calculations are based on the evolution of these two derivatives of oil (diesel and gasoline) and the euro. But the cost of fuel at a gas station will always depend on each gas station, brand and area in which you are located.

The new prices take into account the discrepancies calculated by the Business compared to the average price practiced in Portugal this week and announced by the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG).

Business calculations are based on contracts other than those followed by oil companies (although the evolution is usually similar), and the data available for Business is only available until Thursday (one trading day is missing).
