This plan provides for the complete removal of restrictions from October 1 and the disappearance of the health passport required for certain activities.

“Whatever we have lost, we can do it, because we have important control over the pandemic,” Minister of Health Magnus Choinike said at a press conference.

The mask, which, as in other Nordic countries, was never obligatory outdoors, will no longer be a requirement in supermarkets, shops and malls and will only be required for passengers traveling while standing in public transport, a requirement that will disappear. September 1.

Bars and restaurants may open until midnight on Friday and alcohol sales will be allowed until then, which will be extended until 02:00 from 15 July, in addition to allowing an increase in the maximum capacity of establishments.

Clubs that were closed during the pandemic will reopen on September 1 without any restrictions, except for the presentation of the “coronapas” passport, only until October 1.

On that day, this document confirming recovery from an illness, receiving a vaccine, or a negative test result in the last 72 hours should disappear. From August 1, it will no longer be required in museums, cinemas and theaters, and in a month – in bars and restaurants.

The plan also provides that 25,000 spectators will be able to play during the four matches of Euro 2020 in Copenhagen against 16,000 at the moment.

However, due to time constraints, the measure will not yet take effect at the first meeting between Denmark and Finland, which is slated for Saturday, the federation warned.

The Scandinavian country, relatively free of the pandemic, currently has only 122 patients hospitalized with covid-19, the lowest number since October.

Denmark is one of the least affected countries in Europe, with 2,521 deaths per covid-19 and a death rate of 43.33 per 100,000 population, four times less than Spain.

Thanks to its broad policy of free testing (the country with the most testing in the European Union), tracking and sequencing, Denmark has so far managed to avoid a third wave, which allowed it to start deconfining in early April.

The virus has a reproduction rate of 0.8 and the number of hospitalized for covid-19 on Wednesday was 122, the lowest since October.

Among 5.8 million Danes, 24.2% of the population is fully vaccinated and 42.7% received the first dose.
