Matthew Weiner has a new series in the work.

If it moves forward, the event will mark the return of Weiner to the basic cable world, even though it has the potential to end at FX on Hulu too. Crazy people aired on AMC for seven seasons, with Weiner having served as director, executive producer, and pioneer besides creating it. The show received 116 Emmy nominations along the way, including four wins for the best drama series.
Recently, Weiner created the Amazon anthology series The Romanoffs. This event features an all-star cast, including Crazy people alums of John Slattery and Christina Hendricks. It follows different people in each episode who believe that they are members of the Russian royal family. Weiner directed the entire eight episode series and also wrote most of them.
