The presence in politics of people from the same family is not new, on the contrary, it is the prevailing cases, whether in simultaneous terms in different positions or in legacies from the electorate at the end of a term or withdrawal from disputes. The 2022 election, however, paints a scenario with nuances of novelty: more couples who will run in the elections in a dual order and with a strong appeal to the religious electorate.
Prior to this, the main authority of the married couple in politics, mainly in evangelical groups, was federal deputy Dr. Jaziel (Poland) – doctor and pastor, as well as a representative of the state doctor. In February, Dayani and Wagner traveled to Israel to be baptized in the Jordan River following their “renewal of vows” wedding ceremony on the same trip. The international event, which was attended by several couples, is organized by another couple that intends to bet on an electoral double: state deputy Apostolo Luis Enrique (Republicans) and federal pre-candidate Bishop Vanessa (Republicans).
