The presence of representatives of different nationalities in the locker room is becoming more common in modern football. Amora B, the team that competes in AF Setúbal de Portugal, takes this premise very seriously with 13 foreign athletes in their long lineup.

As the third nationality with the most players in Amora B, Brazil has an active voice thanks to the presence of Matheus Dario, Jefferson Santos and Ruan.

Dario said that having players from different parts of the world helps to expand the repertoire of the team’s game. “This is a real salad of countries, but it greatly improves our football. Learning from every nation and every different style of play is the foundation for us.”

In addition, the disclosed Cruzeiro defender, who joined the Portuguese club’s backup squad in the second half of 2022, says communication on the pitch is working great.

Our tongue is like a ball in our feet. On the field, we can understand exactly what another is thinking or wanting to say with a simple look and movement. It’s all thanks to our chemistry acquired in training,” he explained.

At the Portuguese club, Dario was needed by Amore on the field. The defender participated in the last two matches of the championship and helped the team to win two victories.

– I recently moved to Amora’s B team, but I already felt the strength of the cast. In the two matches in which I participated, we won, showing quality and good rhythm. Now we have to follow this pattern for the sequence of competitions, said Dario.
