Carolina Antunes / PRCommunications Minister Fabio Faria complains about the “outbreak” with news of the number of deaths from Covid-19

Fabio Faria, Minister of Communications Bolsonaro government, complained about the country’s handling of deaths from COVID-19. “Soon you will see how politicians, artists and journalists ‘regret’ the 500,000 deaths. You will never see them celebrate 86 million doses used or 18 million cured because the tone is always “the worse the better.” Unfortunately, they are rooting for the virus, ”said a politician associated with the SDP, without naming anyone. The tweet came shortly before the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) published a newsletter stating that Covid-19 has killed 500,000 people in Brazil.

The minister cited the example of the number of São Paulo, a state in which Joao Doria (PSDB) with a large number of deaths on COVID-19 in the country (121,960 deaths). “One Hundred Thousand Deaths in the State SP: Grave Silence. When these numbers for the States are added up and the national number is reached, there is a lot of noise. Recall that states and municipalities had (and still have) full autonomy in measures against Covid-19. Last month I lost my uncle and some friends, ”Faria wrote. “But none of this matters, there is a coordinated effort to put everything at Bolsonaro’s expense and to minimize all the work and efforts of the federal government to combat the pandemic,” he concluded.
