O POVO’s Jogo Politico kicks off on Tuesday 15th with comedian and screenwriter Essay Menino, who went viral last week with a video simulating Pfizer’s lab attempts to contact the government. Federal.

In a conversation with the host, Italo Coriolano Mineiro will talk about the consequences of satire and attacks by the allies of President Jair Bolsonaro (no party). Last Friday, September 11, the screenwriter used his online profile to counter the homophobic messages he received from government supporters due to criticism.

On Instagram alone, the video has already garnered over 14 million views and about 69,800 comments. In it, the humorist reproduces a pharmacist’s insistence – ignored by 81 emails – to sell vaccines to Brazil. In the chat, Esse Menino also talks about humor, politics and future projects.

Maranana Governor Flavio Dino (PCdoB) and Ceará Federal MP Domingos Neto (PSD) are also participating this Tuesday. The first episode will start at 5:30 pm and will air on O POVO Online’s profiles on digital platforms (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube).

The program comes out weekly with a proposal to bring politics closer to citizens. Otalo Coriolano, lead and digital editor of Politics of O POVO, lists some goals. “The idea is to show that politics is part of our daily life and that we need to somehow take responsibility for it. We will talk not only about this ideal, invented policy, but also about real politics. Politics as it is, with our representatives, projects, disputes, politics with its qualities and shortcomings, ”he explains.

In recent years, the political routine has intensified, increasing the need for new spaces for credible discussion. Part of the Political Game team is already producing a podcast in addition to the daily content published on the O POVO Online portal.

With the launch of another program, this time audiovisual, the idea is to intensify the discussion. In addition to the interviews, the new program will feature a still from “Histórias do Poder” with Eriko Firmo. The weekly columnist and editor of O POVO will recall political curiosities that help us understand our present and predict our future. Journalist Gualter George, editor of Opinion magazine, will show the behind-the-scenes life of the authorities in the frame “Someone told me.”

On June 15, the Political Game opens.
