Cold start. Fake exhausts on a Lamborghini Miura? Yes it’s true

Speaking of “fake design” fake exhaust probably the element that comes to mind most quickly, but as we can see in Lamborghini Miuranot a new phenomenon.

But in this particular case, as we shall see, it can be forgiven.

thanks to acquaintance youtuber Doug DeMurowe can take a closer look at why the Lamborghini Miura needs two false tips.

MUST SEE: Lamborghini Miura, father of modern supercars

All because to access the glorious V12 in the central (and transverse) rear position of the Miura, the entire rear part opens into a compass as a whole, with a hinge not at the beginning, but at the end, at the rear of the car.

Now, if the protruding exhaust pipes were fixed, then it would be impossible to open this “shell”. The practical solution was to separate the tailpipes from the original tailpipes so that the movement of the entire rear could be followed.

Will there be other solutions? Perhaps, but despite the fact that this is not an ideal solution, they are at least combined with the original pipes – exhaust gases pass through them – and are not mere stylistic excesses (they are even covered), as is the case in many modern models.
