Judith Sousa, who announced via social media this Monday that she has retired from CNN Portugal, returned to Instagram on Tuesday to respond to statements by Nuno Santos, the channel’s chief information officer. The journalist and presenter claims that it was a “lifelong” decision made on her “exclusive initiative” and mentions in the report about a trip to Ukraine without medical insurance.

“I knew I didn’t have an employment contract, but I didn’t know that I didn’t have health insurance,” writes Judith Souza in a long post on her Instagram account, adding that “the company, realizing the problem, entered into an employment contract for a period for 30 days.” And he adds that since he is absent from Portugal, this “document never existed in the face of the law” because he never signed it.

The journalist refers to the fact that he stayed to work in Ukraine without financial resources. “No money? Yes. I have never seen a coin or a Ukrainian banknote. To drink water, drink coffee, have lunch, I asked a young image reporter to pay my expenses. So two weeks passed,” writes Judith Souza. .

According to Nuno Santos, “Judith has a service contract with TVI and CNN Portugal” and “was on sick leave until 11 August.” TV station manager denies rod, stating that “Yudif went to Lviv, Ukraine, obviously with insurance”, denying that “she would not have had access to money, without working conditions”.
