Cleo Smith was found alive Tuesday, more than two weeks after missing in a camp in Australia… According to police, the four-year-old child was found at night and the man was detained.
Deputy Police Commissioner Colonel Blanche explained that the authorities entered the locked house and found the girl in one of the rooms.
I am honored to announce that early in the morning [hora local], Australian Police Rescued Cleo Smith “he said, adding that “Cleo Smith was found alive and well.”
One of the agents involved in the rescue took the child in his arms, then asked his name: “She said: ‘My name is Cleo.”
The girl is already in the presence of her parents, a few days after her disappearance in the town of Carnarvon, on October 16.
Ellie Smith, Cleo’s mother, was the last person to see the girl. At the time, he remembers waking up at night when his daughter asked for water. When he woke up in the morning, he noticed that the baby and sleeping bag were no longer in the tent.
The case became nationwide and Australia’s top political leaders reacted quickly. This was the case with Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who spoke of “great and encouraging news.”
What great, encouraging news.
Cleo Smith was found and is at home safe and sound.
Our prayers were answered.
Thanks to the many police officers who helped find Cleo and supported her family.
