In addition to thousands of workers, students and social activists, this time, party leaders and activists from all areas of the political spectrum will be side by side on the streets – all united by Fora Bolsonaro.
Union centers support widening the diversity of street members as they understand that there is nothing more urgent than stopping Bolsonar from continuing his criminal bad rule. The government is responsible for most of Covid’s nearly 600,000 deaths, record unemployment, environmental destruction, and a return of inflation and hunger. And it threatens our democracy and our institutions on a daily basis, despite false momentary and strategic setbacks that deceive no one else.
To overthrow Bolsonara, it is necessary to go beyond our field, since we need 342 votes in the Chamber of Deputies to approve impeachment. This is not a question of ideology, but of mathematics. At this moment, one of the most serious in our history, it is necessary to focus on what unites us, and not on what divides us. For us to continue to have the right to disagree, run for free elections and support our democracy, Bolsonaro must leave now.
Brazil cannot stand another 15 months of incompetence, denial and insanity. We cannot wait for the next attack on our democracy, which could be fatal. That is why we will all be together this Saturday and demand that House President Arthur Lear send one of the more than 130 requests for impeachment that shamefully accumulate in his boxes.
