Carla Matadinho remembers the painful loss of her stepson: “No one is ready for this”

Carla Matadinho was one of the guests of the program Julia this Tuesday, May 31st. In an intimate conversation with Giulia Pinheirobusinesswoman spoke about the love that connects her with the director Paulo Sousa Costa for over ten years now.

They met in 2008, and soon Carla Matadinho fell in love with the director and his son, who was affectionately called Paulinho. However, in 2010, the couple went through the worst moment they could have imagined: Paulinho’s death from aggressive leukemia less than a week after he turned seven.

It was a very painful phase for the couple, and the businesswoman admits that she had to “learn to love a new man”. “It was very difficult. I can’t say another word.” referred. “We also see each other again and there are always people going through the same or similar stories. And I think that you need to look for inspiration from those who can continue to live, from those who can continue their lives, which is not always easy, completed.

Carla Matadinho also recalled that her partner and son were inseparable. “The two of them were one. Paulo had an incredible love for his son, as did Paulinho. They were beautiful, and whenever they parted, they both cried. That says it all”highlighted.

Carla Matadinho and Paulo Sousa Costa currently have two children. Leticianine years old and Sebastian, out of five. The couple still walk side by side in their professional lives and run the Yellow Star Company, a show production company whose name is a tribute to Paulinho. On his 7th birthday invitations, the boy wanted a yellow star as the design. [yellow star] which ultimately gave the pair’s project its name.
