Camille Queiros is curious how the public will react to the re-screening of Secret Truths, which will air next Tuesday (24th) on Globo TV. In the story of Walsier Carrasco, who will win the second season, the actress plays Angel, a shy girl who dreams of becoming a model but ends up discovering the underworld of prostitution lurking behind all the luxury of the industry.

The topic, of course, caused a lot of talk during the first screening. In an interview with Anchelmo Gois’ column in O Globo, Camila pointed to some hypocrisy on the part of more conservative viewers. “Unfortunately, Brazil is a straightforward and hypocritical country. As well as [pessoas] embody carelessness in society, many hide fetishes, desires and actions “– she noted.

The artist, who already lived in New York, appreciated that even in the face of so many social and political problems, the Brazilian people remained optimistic. “I once lived abroad. That is why I can say that Brazilians are different, we have a flame of hope. But at the same time, there is no leader, a real leader in the country ”, she objected.

Despite Jair Bolsonaro’s constant attacks on the Brazilian cultural sector, Camila ended the conversation by saying that she was clinging to hope: “The clock can be on the side of the state, but time will always be on the side of Culture!”
