At a press conference after the debate on TV Globo this Friday (28), President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said he did not understand the question asked by the Portuguese journalist because he “does not speak Spanish or Portuguese”.
Portuguese RTP reporter Pedro Sa Guerra asked the CEO about how Brazil is perceived abroad. He asked Bolsonaro to comment on the fact that some international leaders have expressed serious concern about the results of this Sunday’s elections.
The former captain, in turn, began by saying that he “did not understand” what the Portuguese said. The journalist offered to repeat the question, but the president cut him off and said: “If you repeat it, I still won’t understand. I don’t speak Spanish or Portuguese.”
