Benfica beat Braga with a score of 8: 3 and advanced to the semifinals of the playoffs of the national futsal championship.

After a 4-1 win in Braga in the first game, the Reds again beat Guerreiros do Minho, this time at Pavillão da Luz in Lisbon, and stamped their passport until the semifinals.

The goal of Afonso Jesus in the 4th minute became the motto of the inspirational night of Joel Roch’s charges, who scored twice as much in the first half: Ivan Chishkala and Tayebi made the score 3: 0 at half-time.

In the second 20 minutes, Benfica’s superiority continued to be a reality, and for this reason, it should come as no surprise that the marker is back on track. Tayebi got the taste of his leg again, and Jacare – with a blow, still made from a holding midfielder, when Braga played with an advanced goalkeeper, intensified the fight.

Braga, however, did not give up and still managed to reduce the handicap: Bruno Sintra, penalty, and Thiago Brito, in own goals, and Miguel Angelo in just two minutes increased the score to 5: 3.

Benfica returned to the load and, taking advantage of the fact that the Arsenalists are playing without a goalkeeper, scored two goals in a row through Ivan Chishkala and Nilson. Jacare at the entrance at the last minute closed the final score 8: 3.

Thanks to this triumph, Benfica advance to the semi-finals of the playoffs, where they already know that they will play against Fundao, who left Viseu-2021 on the way.

Another semi-final will face Leoins de Porto Salvo and Sporting CP.
