The game was accompanied by the anime Blue Reflection Ray, which debuted in April, and the mobile game Blue Reflection Sun.

First game in the Blue Reflection: Second Light franchise

The title is based on Blue Reflection, released in September 2017. Blue Reflection: Second Light tells the story of the adventures of three students, Ao Hoshizaki, Kokoro Utsubo and Yuki Kinjo, who find themselves in another mysterious world.

With no memories other than their own name, they will have to fight monsters as they search for a way to solve mysteries and find their way home. When fighting creatures, they uncover unknown forces that exacerbate the mysterious nature of their surroundings. Throughout the adventure, the three friends work together to make the journey as fun as possible as their true feelings and personalities emerge and their bonds deepen.

The game also includes an item fusion system that allows characters to create items together and, depending on the character combinations, can trigger special conversations. In addition, they are housed in a kind of floating school that the player can customize.

Blue Reflection: Second Light will be released in November on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
