2 – The Sport Lisboa e Benfica business group consists of 12 subsidiaries owned (in part or in full) and controlled by Clube Sport Lisboa e Benfica, with Benfica Internacional being one of these 12 companies.
3 – Benfica Internacional, registered in February 2021 with the legal support of our lawyers at VdA – Vieira de Almeida, is 100% owned by Benfica SGPS, whose parent company is Sport Lisboa e Benfica, which owns 100% of Benfica SGPS’s capital.
4 – As part of the international expansion strategy of the Benfica brand, Benfica Internacional was created to manage all the shareholdings of companies that can be registered in different geographic regions, namely in the territories with the strategic focus of the Benfica brand: USA, China and England.
5 – Operations that may develop in territories that qualify as strategic to the Benfica brand could lead to the creation of companies in those regions (future example: Benfica USA), with the result that all international companies will be owned and operated by Benfica Internacional, respectively. for the purpose of its constitution.
6 – The COVID-19 crisis has delayed the entire process of internationalization of the Benfica brand, so to date no company is registered in international territories. As a result, no transactions have yet been established in the priority markets, so Benfica Internacional does not own shares.
7 – Sport Lisboa e Benfica is not aware of the authorities’ investigations into the internationalization of the Benfica brand.
