UThe trial of the 53-year-old Portuguese man, accused of killing his wife and eldest son with more than 30 shots, on April 25, 2018 in Payern, Switzerland, will begin on August 16.

According to the newspaper 24 hours, “The facts as presented by the prosecution cause chills” and testify to the absence of “doubts” on the part of the accused.

The Portuguese couple moved to Switzerland in 2006 with two young children. He worked as a bricklayer and she as a cleaner.

Relations will deteriorate from 2012. From insults to death threats, with the right to slaps, kicks and punches, the accused will make a black life not only for his wife, but also for the eldest son, who has always defended his mother.

In September 2017, the victim finally managed to leave the house. However, the attacks did not end there.

The man continued to harass his ex-partner, sending, for example, 70 text messages a few days before the crime, in which he called her “a liar” and “a whore.” Something to which the Portuguese never responded.

On April 25, driven by “extreme jealousy,” as reported by the local press, the emigrant quit his job, went home for a gun and two ammunition carriers, and headed to the woman’s residence where the eldest son is.

What follows is a horror scenario. The man fired point-blank at his son, and then fired the first magazine at the woman. He reloaded his weapon, assured that his former partner was dead, and went after his son, who was hiding with serious injuries on the top floor of the house, and shot to kill.

After the crime, he called two relatives and confessed to the crime. Despite this, he remained on the run from the authorities for several days and eventually surrendered.

Since then, the Portuguese has been held in Bois-Merme prison in Lausanne.

Despite the fact that the trial is just beginning, due to the seriousness of the crime, according to 24 Heures, the Portuguese emigrant could be sentenced to life in prison.
