Baltimore Pastor issues stop and stop orders

A pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland tore up cease and cease orders that he was issued in a sermon on Wednesday night, a report said.

Stacey Shiflett, who was threatened with a $ 5,000 fine if she continued to provide personal service, tore up an order that said, “We will do it God’s way,” according to The Hill.

In that video posted online, Shiflett could be heard shouting, “So I am tearing up this cease and cease order here, and I am telling you now, we will do it the Lord’s way! God tells us how to worship Him, no one else can do that. “

On Friday, Governor Larry Hogan said that places of worship were allowed to reopen as long as they remained at 50 percent capacity. According to Fox News, while Calvary Baptist has complied with state occupancy laws, it has violated local law. Which allowed only 10 people to be at the place of worship at that time.

“It has become very clear that if we receive permission, we will never have freedom again,” Shiflet told Fox News. “Either we have freedom to worship or we have permission to worship.”

The Calvary Baptist Church is not the only church that violates government authority. In countries such as Texas and Georgia, many churches have opened their doors before being given permission only to close again because pastors and church staff have tested positive for the virus.
