There is a directive crisis in PSV. This Friday, the Eindhoven club announced the departure of John de Jong, head of the Dutch team’s football department.

According to Telegraph, the output is due to the lack of a big sale in the summer market. After being eliminated from the Champions League (fell at the feet of the Rangers in playoffs) management decided a big sale was needed, with Cody Gakpo (destined for the Premier League) and Ibrahima Sangare (destined for Benfica) at the top of the list to avoid a financially risky scenario. Yong declined and was not very active in negotiations to achieve this goal as both players remained on the team.

“After last week’s hype in the transfer market, we met with the management and came to the conclusion that there was a breach of trust of John de Jong,” Marcel Brands, the club’s CEO, said in a post.

Former player John de Jong has been linked to PSV for the past 22 years, he has also worked as a scout and head of surveillance.
