Costinha was in the spotlight in the pre-season of Team B Braga (League 3). Recruited from Academia, where he distinguished himself last season, the 21-year-old winger has scored two goals in the three preparatory matches played so far, one against Chavez and one against Moreirense.
“The balance sheet is very positive. The team is focused on their task, adding week after week, and evidence of this is the results we have against higher-level opponents. This testifies to our aspirations for the championship,” emphasizes Kostinha, relegating individual merits to the background.
“The two goals I scored are the result of teamwork. Adapting to a club is never easy because it’s new coaches, a new team and a new city, but my teammates welcomed me from day one and made everything easy,” he stresses.
As far as the team’s self-identification goes, the striker is already completely in tune with Minho’s ideas. “The coaching staff gave us the idea of possession, dominance and creating our own identity from the very beginning, and this style of play will appreciate me, as well as all the players that we have on our team. The idea of the game is clear and objective,” he notes.
