BALL – Bruno Fernandes accused of being ‘worst teammate’: here’s the answer (Manchester United)

Bruno Fernandes spoke to Eleven Sports ahead of Monday’s derby against Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League and faced recent criticism from Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Recall first what the former English national team player said. “Bruno Fernandez has good numbers, but he is the worst teammate. Whenever he or a player loses the ball, he raises his hands to his teammates or the bench. I’ve played with players like him… He presses from time to time. If it was Pogba, everyone would kill him every day. Fernandes always gets away with it. Have you seen him do something? It’s easy to talk about Maguire, Cristiano, Rashford or Sancho, but I don’t remember Bruno Fernandes’ last decent game. He always waves his arms, even when he loses the ball. He can pass the ball to you while offside and still blame you. That’s the kind of player he is.”

Here is Bruno Fernandes’ answer: “It’s not something that worries me a lot, because I’m sure my teammates don’t have that opinion. He never played with me, he doesn’t know how I am. What comforts me is that two days ago a man named Juan Mata, who is a world champion, told me that I was one of the best people he met in football and told me to keep going, to be yourself. I’m boring because I’m demanding of myself, but that’s my character.”
