ASUS Introduces VivoBook S 14X and 16X OLED Laptops with 120Hz Display

Concluding this Monday’s round of announcements (09), ASUS introduced the new Vivobook S 14X OLED and S 16X OLED. The laptops were designed to occupy the mid-range segment between the Pro line and the Classic and Go line.

One of the differences is hinge that reaches 180 degrees of opening. Inside, the new Vivobook S brings configurations with processors Intel Alder Lake i7 H or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, up to 16 GB memory ram DDR5 4800 and 1TB memory SSD PCIe 4.0.

Vivobook S 14X OLED

The 14.5-inch OLED screen of the smaller version was announced by ASUS as the best. world’s first with 2.8K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, in this dimension. The display takes up 87.4% of the headroom, offering maximum brightness 600 nits (HDR certified), Delta-E < 2, 100% DCI-P3 gamma and Pantone color calibration verification.

According to ASUS, the body of the laptop is made of durable metal with a thickness of 17.9 mm and a weight of 1.6 kg. Vivobook S 14X OLED Other Features:

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) microphone with noise reduction
  • ASUS ErgoSense Keyboard
  • battery capacity 70 Wh
  • Webcam screen to block access to the webcam
  • One-touch Windows sign-in with fingerprint recognition

Like other laptops announced today by ASUS, the Vivobook S 14X and 16X have Audio Harman/KardonThunderbolt (USB-C) ports and 6E WiFi connection.

Vivobook S 16X OLED

In your The 16-inch Vivobook S OLED version replaces the 120Hz panel with 60Hz only., but this is justified by the increase in image resolution, which goes into 4K UHD. Like the 14X, the Vivobook S 16X OLED has 70Wh battery and can be equipped with both Intel Core i7-12700H and AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processors.

Thickness also remains at 17.9mm, although the weight increases to around 1.9kg.

Price and release
