O Leão da Estrela joins O Pátio das Cantigas, A Canção de Lisboa and other Portuguese bets that already exist on the platform.

This comedy film is about Anastasio, a civil servant close to his family, although she often has a real headache. Besides family, Anastasio loves football, especially the local club Leões de Alcochete.

After several years of defeats, the club is about to return to glory. To do this, they only need to defeat the team from Barrancos do Inferno to Alentejo. Of course, Anastasio does not want to lose this game for the sake of the whole world. However, his plans are in jeopardy after Joana (one of his daughters) crashes his car. Fortunately, there is a way out – the mechanic who walks with his niece Anastasio offers them an eight-seater taxi. Now they just have to pretend to be rich in order to fool Eduardo Barat, Joana’s Facebook friend who has a farm in Alentejo.

Directed by Leonel Vieira, the film premiered on November 26, 2015 in Portuguese cinemas. On the first weekend, 38,721 people watched it.
