Anitta has become the subject of discussion on social media due to a new controversy. The Brazilian singer has publicly spoken out against the organization of the Rock in Rio festival, causing a stir with her scathing accusations.
The latest edition of Rock in Rio Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro, ended last Sunday, a date that Anitta was looking forward to delivering her critique.
“I don’t walk [o palco] at this festival never again“, – assured the singer through the social network Twitter, where she was outraged that, in her opinion, Brazilian artists were not treated at the event like foreigners.
“If one day they decide to give Portuguese-speaking artists the same respect as foreigners. Ask the bravest people how they are treated, who are from Brazil, and how those who are from outside are treated. [nos] did a great favor,” he complains, going so far as to accuse the festival production of “humiliating” national singers.
“Put people there and people who will put up with any of their conditions in order to make everything right for foreigners. I’ve done my part and I’m happy that they still have to swallow the funk. I was just waiting for the last day to perform because I knew there was a lot more to come”, you can still read in his promotions.
Anitta also justified the fact that this year, in 2022, she participated in the edition of Rock in Rio Portugal in Lisbon: “I only went to RIR in Portugal because I know the Portuguese waited a long time and would be upset if I didn’t go“.
Anitta’s statements were immediately linked to the appearance at the event of Lyudmila, with whom she had disagreements in 2020. However, the artist took it upon himself to ensure that “I will never send indirect messages to any funk”.
“And for those who say that this and that show bothers me [Ludmilla]. Regardless of my personal issues, my professional opinion is that he should have been placed in the right place for his success… on the world stage. So it’s connected to a much deeper hole,” he defended.
“Funk was only there because it was forced to be consumed by the festival… and I know very well how. The world stage doesn’t have (again?) the “stardom” of the organization’s supposed justification for not having a single funk artist placed on the festival’s most important stage in 2022.
Despite the dissatisfaction, the award-winning Brazilian artist is convinced that after her announcement, another artist will appear on the world rock scene in Rio next year besides her funk singing.
Anitta performed in 2019 at the Mundo do Rock stage in Rio Brasil and in 2018 and 2022 at an event in Lisbon.
