O rising inflation in a number of countries and global economic turmoil caused by the ongoing war in Ukraine is affecting several sectors of the economy, including equipment, whose forecasts have been revised by industry analysts.

According to Gus Richard, one of the most famous in the area, recipe with processors for desktops and laptops as well as AMD Gshould decrease 6% in 2023 compared to this year, except Consumer GPU sales fell 7%.

Overall, this market segment should bring the company about $675 million less than in 2022. Richard estimates that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sales will grow by around 8% next year.

The analyst expects AMD’s console product segment to grow by $400 million next year. However, the previous forecast mentioned an increase of USD 740 million.

The deviation in forecasts comes from the fact that in times of high inflation and economic and geopolitical instability, consumers tend to reduce their non-essential expenses, such as modern electronics.

Against this background, AMD’s share price has fallen by about 30% over the past month, and the company’s shares are trading at around $73, however, according to Richard, in 2023 the value of the asset will be quoted at $95.
