Amazon is one of the largest companies in the world known, among other things, for its extensive online sales platform.

However, according to an internal report, Amazon could run out of jobs to hire in the United States by 2024.

Amazon will not be able to hire people in the US in 2024

Amazon's internal report was recently leaked that showed the company's warehouses are at serious risk of not having enough staff to meet fast delivery needs.

The Amazon service has a huge volume of sales and, as such, needs a large number of employees so that nothing will let customers down. But according to a published report, this could become a problem in a few years.

The information was published by the TV channel Write downwhich states that:

If we continue to operate as usual, Amazon will run out of available work on the US network in 2024.

Amazon has calculated the number of workers it has in each of its warehouses. And this was based on the level of wages in the region and the distance between workers' homes and company premises, among other factors. In short, the company only cares about the people it can hire, not the general population.

The document was drafted in mid-2021 and assumed that the available labor force in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area would be exhausted by the end of 2021. In the Inland Empire region, located 100 km east of Los Angeles, California, this will happen at the end of 2022. Other risk regions will be Memphis (Tennessee) and Wilmington (Delaware).

In turn, the same report does not highlight the solution to this problem, but it presents some measures to resolve the situation. Among these measures are wage increases, which will lead to increased costs; investment in automation, which will draw criticism from worker advocates; and improving employee retention.
