A new special livery applied to the Edelweiss Airbus A320 (HB-JLT) promises to impress European airports wherever it flies. She raises a series of hands, pointing in different directions and painted bright red, on the front of the plane, where passengers first look when they are in the airport terminal, ready to board.

The goal is to really make an impact, as the hands stand for the Help Alliance, a social organization founded by the Lufthansa Group, of which Edelweiss has been a part for over twenty years. However, this is the first Lufthansa Group picture to hint at the Relief Alliance.

In a note, the Swiss company commented that “Alliance of Assistance” and “Edelweiss” jointly support social projects in recreation areas. Through our joint efforts, we have been able to improve the lives of young people from Costa Rica, Vietnam, South Africa and Sri Lanka through various projects in recent years.”.

The Help Alliance is the assistance organization for the Lufthansa Group and its employees and is the central pillar of social action in the area of the company’s social responsibility. Like it, the Lufthansa Group is taking on a responsibility that goes beyond its normal business activities to address the challenges society faces today.

Founded in 1999 by a group of 13 Lufthansa employees, this non-profit society currently includes about 50 projects around the world aimed, inter alia, at providing access to education for young people and enabling them to lead an independent life.

“In addition to our core business of education, we also promote entrepreneurship. In recent years, we have supported about 140 projects. The content of the projects in all cases complies with the strict standards of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the sustainable goals of the UN for the period up to 2030,” the company’s official website says.
