Adam Cole came out WWE at the end of August, after the expiration of your contract, and during Everybody this Sunday debuted on AEWby attacking Jungle Boy and thus reuniting with The Elite.

At the press conference after All outAdam Cole revealed why he decided to leave WWE and subscribe to AEW

Funny, believe it or not, I was surprised too. I got the impression that there were about six months left before my contract. So it was a surprise for me and for them. And suddenly it was like: “Oh no, we have to talk about this in three days.”… It is common knowledge that I signed a small renewal with them. I was in the middle injection with Kyle O’Reilly and was very important to me. He is one of my best friends. After that, everything opened up for me. But yes, it was a surprise to me.

When you think about where I’ve been, it has technically been a dream of mine since I was 9. But I started to see everything AEW was doing. I’ve been here countless times to support Britt [Baker] and get along with people, and this is the best group in the world. The shows are amazing, the fans are amazing, but at the same time I have earned myself a reputation elsewhere. [WWE]… But deep down, I knew from an early age that I wanted to come here. It’s good to talk about them, I had a great four years of experience, but I wanted to come back and work with the team that I love, about 24 hours a day, with the team that is so passionate Wrestling like me and fans who feel the same way as we do. So the decision was pretty easy.

Meanwhile, according to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Adam Cole’s contract with AEW was only signed this Sunday, ahead of the All Out. product

Did you think Adam Cole would stay in WWE, or did you always think that we would see him in AEW?
