BUT According to the French prosecutor’s office, British tourist Esther Dingley, missing in the Pyrenees, fell from a height of more than 30 meters, crossing from a cliff.

Authorities believe the 37-year-old woman’s death was accidental.

Esther was approaching the summit of the Pic de la Glair, which is over 700 meters high. It is one of the most popular destinations for adventure seekers and hikers in the Pyrenees mountain range.

It is worth noting that the British woman was reported missing in November 2020, when she was walking alone on the mountain. Search and rescue teams were called, which worked until February this year, after which work had to be stopped due to worsening weather conditions.

When they resumed in June, his body was found. in a secluded place her boyfriend Dan Colegate, with the help of a team of French rescuers. “The theory that it happened by accident is the strongest because the body was found right under a rocky cliff,” French prosecutor Christophe Amunsategui told reporters. French authorities also believe that Esther lost her balance due to the fact that she was wearing worn out climbing boots, rather than the traction system she carried with her.
